Outback Paintings
A Collection of paintings from Cathy Carson

Story of An Artist
My name is Cathy Carson and I am a pastel painter living and working on a property in the Tamworth district. I have been painting for 22-years. My life here gives me many subjects to paint and I love painting the people, animals and the countryside around me. I hope that my paintings reflect the spirit of the outback.
I welcome commissions and enjoy the extra challenge that a commission work provides me. It is a wonderful way to extend myself as an artist.
I love to paint and I hope you enjoy my paintings as much as I have enjoyed creating them.
Learning a new Technique
Workshops are a great learning opportunity, where I learn new techniques, like treated paper plus gesso, tissue and charcoal which resulted in some new "sheep paintings".

The Thinker
Painting stockman and using mixed media is always fun and challenging.
Stone the Flaming Crows
This painting was presented as a gift to Ray Meagher when he came out to open the Dirranbandi Show in 2016.
